Accessible Psychotherapy.
Rose City Center provides high quality, low-fee, psychoanalytic therapy to individual adults, adolescents, couples and families in the San Gabriel Valley. Rose City Center was founded by a group of psychologists and community leaders who saw the need to make psychoanalytic therapy more accessible to low-income individuals and families.
Our Approach.
Rose City Center employs post-doctoral, registered psychologists who are psychodynamically-oriented and committed to helping clients identify and work through internal conflicts that negatively impact their lives. All staff psychologists receive extensive supervision and training from the Clinical Director and a variety of psychoanalytically-oriented therapists in the area.
Rose City Center offers an alternative to other community agencies, because it lacks the constraints of insurance requirements, and is committed to providing intensive services that yield long-term results. This allows the therapist and the client to determine the length and frequency of treatment, which is essential for high quality psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Why seek Psychoanalytic Treatment?
People often wonder when it’s time to seek treatment from a psychoanalyst.
All of the usual reasons someone might consult with any mental health professional are good reasons for seeing a psychoanalyst, to get the most comprehensive assessment of one’s problems. This includes symptoms and feelings of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, obsessions and compulsions. Personality traits that keep getting in your way, in your private or professional life, are also very amenable to being understood and helped by a trained psychoanalyst.
Perhaps you’re having trouble in work situations—repetitive patterns of disappointment in personal relationships, not getting along with your boss or co-workers, seeming lethargic and not connected with friends or colleagues, physical complaints that might be manifestations of underlying emotional conflict, or coping with personal losses and transitions. These are examples of times when consultation with a psychoanalyst can be extremely helpful. Read more here.
